Preheader: My dealership roots, a human mission, and one question for you.
Hi,
Before we ask people to trust AI, we owe them a way to understand it.
That belief sits at the center of ATLAS Automotive Intelligence. For the first edition of this journey, I want to share where it comes from.
I grew up in and around family dealerships. My experience included reception and service filing: everyday work that helps an operation keep moving. It gave me a deep respect for dealership employees and the responsibility they carry.
When I think about this industry, I think about the people behind the customer experience. The person helping a caller find the right department. The advisor explaining a process. The employee keeping information organized so someone else can do their job. Their experience deserves a place in the conversation about what changes next.
Later, I moved into automotive technology and software, spending years helping dealerships understand and adopt new tools. I became increasingly interested in the connection between a feature and the real work around it. What changes for an employee? What should the customer experience? Who owns the next step?
As AI became part of these conversations, I saw excitement and possibility. I also saw confusion and concern. I kept asking whether people had been given enough time and resources to understand the change they were being asked to prepare for.
That question helped lead me to create ATLAS.
Our mission is helping humanity confidently navigate the Intelligence Era.
I believe technology should strengthen people. I want it to help us do useful work, access clearer information, and preserve room for judgment and relationships. That belief is a responsibility to act on. It is not a promise that every role will stay the same or that every AI use will produce a good outcome.
What we can do is learn, test assumptions, include the people who know the work, and be honest about what remains uncertain. That is the kind of hope I want to bring to this series.
In the episodes ahead, we will explain AI in plain language and connect it to practical decisions. We will distinguish facts from forecasts and fictional examples from documented results. We will make space for questions that deserve more than a quick answer.
Here is a small place to begin.
Think of one task you understand well. Ask yourself what a good outcome looks like, what information it depends on, and what you would need to verify before relying on a tool to help with it. You do not need to enter any data into a system to do this exercise. The first step is simply to make the question clearer.
I am building ATLAS with future generations in mind, too. I want them to inherit the confidence to learn, question, and lead thoughtfully. That kind of legacy starts with useful work we can do now.
This is the beginning of the ATLAS story. I am glad you are here.
Reply with one question about AI you would like explained. It can be as basic as you need it to be.
